Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are data records that are stored on the operating system of your device via your browser when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. The use of cookies and the processing of your data in this context is based on our legitimate interests in the purposes mentioned.

Types of cookies and their purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for the operation of the website.
  • Performance cookies: collect information about the use of our website in order to optimise it.
  • Functionality cookies: enable the website to remember information already entered (e.g. user names, language selection) and offer users improved, more personalised functions.

You have full control over the use of cookies. When you visit our website for the first time, a cookie banner appears on which you can give your consent to the various cookie categories — apart from the strictly necessary cookies required for the use of the website. Your consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time via the cookie settings on our website. We do not set performance, functionality or targeting cookies without your express consent.

You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Further information on adjusting these settings can be found in your browser's help or on the official websites of the browser providers. Please note that some of our services may not function properly if you disable cookies.

Disclosure of personal data

We rely on the use of external service providers in processing your personal data. These have been carefully selected and instructed by us, are bound by our instructions, and are regularly monitored.

In cases where personal data must be transferred to countries without comprehensive data protection laws, we will take appropriate safeguards. For this purpose, the revised standard contractual clauses of the European Commission are used, available at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj, where we cannot rely on a derogation. These measures serve to ensure compliance with our privacy notice and the applicable laws.

The following categories of recipients, who as a rule are processors, may receive access to your personal data:

  • IT service providers required for the operation of our website and the processing of data stored or transmitted by the systems. The legal basis for the transfer is then Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR, unless they are processors.
  • Providers of tracking, conversion and advertising services. The legal basis for the transfer is then Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Objection or withdrawal of consent to processing

You can withdraw your consent to data processing at any time and, in the case of processing based on a balancing of interests, object to it. Please notify us of your withdrawal or objection by email or by post. If you object, we will review the situation and adapt the processing or explain to you the reasons for continuing it.

Newsletter

To subscribe to our newsletter, which informs you about our services and programmes, we require your consent. Registration takes place using a double opt-in procedure: after registering, we will send a confirmation email to the address you provided in order to ensure that you wish to receive the newsletter. Without confirmation, your data will be blocked and automatically deleted. We also store the IP address and the times of your registration and confirmation in order to be able to clarify any possible misuse of your data.

After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter, based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent to receiving the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter, either by clicking on the unsubscribe link in each newsletter email, or by email or message to the contact details given in the imprint.

Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel on our website in order to enable targeted advertising through Meta Ads and to measure the effectiveness of these ads. This tool identifies visitors to our online offering who have shown interest in our products or services, in order to define them as a target group for our ads on Meta platforms and in the Audience Network. Our aim is to ensure that our advertising matches user interests and is not intrusive, while at the same time analysing the effectiveness of the advertising.

The use is based on our legitimate interest in effective advertising measures (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), with the option to withdraw it at any time. The data transfer to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and potentially to the USA takes place taking into account the EU standard contractual clauses, which ensures an appropriate level of data protection.

We and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited bear joint responsibility for the collection and transfer of the data, whereby the further processing is solely the responsibility of Meta. The "Advanced Matching" of the Meta Pixel enables us to use contact information for the formation of Custom Audiences. This information is transmitted in encrypted form as hash values and deleted after matching.

Further information on the data processing by Meta, on your rights and on the possibilities of exercising them, can be found in Meta's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. Users can adjust the settings for targeted advertising in their Meta account settings and take advantage of further opt-out options via http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Updates to this privacy policy

We may revise this privacy policy to reflect changes in data processing or in legislation. Material updates will be communicated to those whose data we hold, insofar as this is reasonably possible. The version in force at the time of the data processing applies.
